Renner Cabreúva Logistics Distribution Center

The Distribution Center of Lojas Renner in Cabreúva, São Paulo, stands out as the largest Distribution Center in Latin America, with a total built area of 350,000 m². The main hall occupies 180,000 m², and the remaining area is distributed over three mezzanine floors. The structure was designed to accommodate a high degree of automation, with conveyor belts that, although essential for operation, generate heat, necessitating the implementation of a complete climate control system for the warehouse.

To meet the project’s tight schedule, the construction strategically utilized metal structures. Steel was crucial to ensure swift execution and simple, rapid assembly, especially on the three mezzanine levels. This choice also resulted in a cleaner construction, with minimal waste and debris, and allowed the use of commercially sized metal profiles, further expediting the process. The roof, at 15 meters high, posed a load challenge due to its size and the air conditioning equipment, but the choice of material facilitated quick assembly.

The project was systematically and strategically planned, with a focus on efficiency. The use of BIM (Building Information Modeling) methodology for automation and strict waste control on the construction site are examples of this planning.

In terms of sustainability, the development received LEED Gold Certification, recognizing its commitment to energy efficiency and sustainable practices, including an integrated solar plant. The location is also a strong point: just 20 km from the Bandeirantes Highway and 68 km from the center of São Paulo’s capital, the DC features innovative automation systems that integrate sales channels and allow for record-time store restocking.
