Intervention on the Facades of the Beneficência Portuguesa Hospital

The renovation for the Beneficência Portuguesa Hospital includes the renovation of the facades of the existing structures and the construction of a new volume. The project seeks to revitalize the institution, proposing a creative approach through the use of colors to make the facade a visual landmark in the city.

The new volume establishes a dialogue with the existing structures, respecting the requirements of RDC 50 — the Brazilian regulation for health facilities — and specifying sustainable and certified materials, such as facade cladding with forest responsibility. Construction solutions were adopted to minimize the structural impact and allow for phased installation, ensuring the hospital’s continued operation.
