The board of Esporte Clube Pinheiros tasked the office with the renovation and expansion of the bar next to the football field. There was only a small kiosk on site, situated among several trees. Due to the limited space available, the initial premise of the proposal was to divide the program of the new restaurant into two levels. The kitchen, therefore, operates on both levels and remains connected via a dumbwaiter. The upper level was aligned with the floor of the existing bleachers, thus providing an enhanced view of the field on game days.

Given that it is a narrow area between large trees, greater attention to the construction system was necessary. The idea was to carry out the work without significant damage to the trees, only with minor pruning, so a tensioned structure was chosen to shelter the entire volume of the new restaurant under its shade. In this way, previous experience with Clube Hebraica was very important as the techniques learned there were further developed here for a situation that required a more organic design of its lines, to integrate with the club’s existing landscape.
